Public invited to comment on proposed changes to state’s action plan for
Hurricane Matthew federal disaster recovery funds
ReBuild NC is seeking public comment on a draft amendment to the state’s action plan for administering federal disaster recovery funding provided to North Carolina through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program. The draft CDBG-DR Hurricane Matthew Action Plan: Substantial Amendment 5 proposes changes that will enhance the state action plan previously approved by HUD.
The draft amendment and related documents are available for review on the Rebuild NC website at https://www.rebuild.nc.gov/. Printed copies of the draft amendment are also available by calling 984-833-4344.
Public comments can be submitted by email to email@example.com or by U.S. Postal Service mail to Attn: SAPA-5, P.O. Box 110465, Durham, NC 27709. Public comments on the draft amendment must be submitted 5 p.m. Dec. 8, 2019.
ReBuild NC is the state’s long-term disaster recovery agency administered by the North Carolina Office of Recovery and Resiliency.

The Greene County Landfill will be open Saturday, September 7th, 2019 regular hours (8 to 12 noon). Convenience Sites will also be open Saturday normal hours (8 - 6 p.m).
Greene County Shelter at Greene Central High School will open at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, 9-5-19. The shelter is pet friendly.
Greene County Offices will close today (9-5-19) @ 2 p.m. and will be closed tomorrow (9-6-19). Be safe.
Greene County is currently operating in a State of Emergency as of 12 noon 9-4-19. The Emergency Operations Center will be fully staffed @ 15:00 on Thursday, 9-5-19. Everyone is asked to make final preparations and stay tuned to local officials and media for future updates.
